First of all, happy birthday to my brother, FIK, he turned 21 today.
Its just too bad that I cannot be around for his birthday today, I live too far away. For those of you who don’t know, I am studying medicine in cuba, and he is finishing his mining degree back home in Suriname. I had hibia-gibia-fibia-who-the-hell-knows-how-you-spell-it today. According to wikipedia its ground up cuttlefish. I am extremely pissed about this because for the birthday back home, theyre eating roti with curry chicken, duck, veal and mutton (I still don’t know the difference between the last two).
Anyway, this is my 5th attempt to start writing again. Shall we check to see how long it lasts this time?
It’s the middle of summer here. And its fucking HOT! Im sitting here in class, my shirt is completely unbuttoned. I cant believe how much the weather changes here in Pinar del rio. This morning it was actually cold, this afternoon was bearable and now, at 22.00 its unbearably hot, no wind, and we cant turn on the ACs, because we are in ahorro energetico, which basically means the world economic crisis at work. There is no oil to run the generators. I hate my life.
This week we are studying the pancreas and parathyroid glands. Its not complicated but it makes your head spin when you think about homeostatical processes that happen at any given second. But once again im confident ill get them down within this week.
The date counter is on 17 days until I go back home. Im leaving to celebrate my 20th birthday in suriname. My flight departs Havana on july 10th and im coming back on the 19th. Now I don’t know what excites me more, the airports and flights or my vacation itself, I have this huge fetish for airports hahaha
I have no idea what im supposed to write here, I suppose I am a bit rusty. But in due time I will be back in action
On a side note, I'm laptop shopping again, thinking about a Toshiba P505.
Its huge.
Details will follow.
So helpful tips for this week. Eat iodized salt, it will help you a lot!
